How much does it cost?
Each tutor sets their own rate, and you’ll see it on their profile before you book. Most of our tutors charge between $40 and $75 an hour. Browse tutors and their rates
Is there a subscription or sign-up fee?
No. There’s no subscription and no fee to use TutorLyft. You only pay for the lessons you book.
What subjects do you cover?

Do I need an account to book?
No. You can book a lesson without one. A free account just makes it easier to see and manage all your lessons in one place.
I’m a tutor. How do I join TutorLyft?
Apply on our Become a tutor page. We review every application before a tutor’s profile goes live.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before a lesson for a full refund, or reschedule it instead. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the lesson is charged in full. We do look at each case, and if your child is sick or something urgent comes up, we’ll work with you.
