Cares about their success, wants to see them make progress and who will put in the effort to make learning about math more interesting and fun.
A combination of direct instruction and that of experiential learning. when it comes to high level math, I believe it’s important to lead by example rather than assume the student has the preliminary knowledge work out problems, while at the same time holding the belief that student success stems from their confidence in their ability to work out complex and abstract problems on their own. math is about learning to problem solve, I believe in sharing my thought processes in hopes that they will aid others in working more complex problems.
To remember that grades aren’t everything, it’s so easy as a student to get lost in evaluation, the school system leads us to believe that our grades are the only measure of our success or worth, when in fact this is a LIE, I only wish I had learned this sooner, because it would have made my undergraduate experience a lot less stressful.
